My chiropractor recommended Pilates to complement the chiropractic treatment.
How long have you been doing Pilates?

Do you do matwork or equipment Pilates?
Why did you start doing Pilates?
I was getting bouts of lower back pain that were becoming more frequent and debilitating. I went to a chiropractor who recommended Pilates to complement the chiropractic treatment.
How does Pilates benefit you/how has your body changed?
I no longer have significant back pain. I’m conscious that I’m stronger and fitter than I was. For example if I’m on my feet for a long time I can cope with that better. I’m also more relaxed in my shoulders and neck and I think I hold myself with a broader chest. I’m also more aware of posture and balance generally and can identify where any weaknesses are as I exercise.
What do you love about Pilates?
That it’s adaptable to the individual. Also I like the fact that it’s an all over workout that does not over stress any particular part of the body.
What do you love about POWMAK?
That I can come as frequently as I’m able (I usually make it 3 times a week) and that there is lots of verity in the exercises. I also like the fact the sessions start and finish on time and everything is run very efficiently.
